GENERAL QUESTIONS
Do I need an attorney for my case?
If you’re facing criminal charges or recovering from an injury due to someone else’s negligence, you should speak with an attorney as soon as possible. Legal representation can protect your rights, ensure you don’t make costly mistakes, and increase the likelihood of a favorable outcome.
What types of cases do you handle?
We focus on:
Criminal Defense: DUI, drug charges, theft, domestic violence, and more.
Personal Injury: Car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, and other negligence claims.
How much does it cost to hire your firm?
Personal Injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis—you don’t pay unless we win.
Criminal Defense cases are billed as flat fees or hourly rates, depending on the complexity. We offer payment plans in certain cases.
PERSONAL INJURY
What should I do after a car accident?
Call 911 if there are injuries.
Exchange insurance information and take photos of the scene.
Seek medical attention immediately—even if you feel fine.
Contact our office before speaking with the insurance company.
How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in Florida?
As of recent changes in Florida law, the statute of limitations is generally 2 years from the date of the accident. However, deadlines can vary, so don’t delay seeking legal advice.
Will I have to go to court for a personal injury claim?
Most personal injury claims settle out of court, but if a fair settlement cannot be reached, we are fully prepared to represent you in litigation.
CRIMINAL DEFENSE
What should I do if I’m arrested?
Stay calm. Exercise your right to remain silent and ask for an attorney immediately. Do not answer questions without legal counsel present.
Can charges be dropped after an arrest?
Yes, depending on the evidence and circumstances. Our firm may be able to negotiate with the prosecutor or file motions to have charges reduced or dismissed.
Will I have to go to trial?
Not necessarily. Many criminal cases are resolved through pre-trial negotiations or plea agreements. However, we prepare every case as if it will go to trial to ensure you’re in the strongest possible position.
